WhatsApp or Telegram disconnected
On this page
If a WhatsApp or Telegram channel shows Not connected, the messenger session has ended and Povidomlyaka cannot send messages through it. Reconnect the channel with a QR code. It takes a minute, and your settings, chats and message history are kept.
Reconnect the channel
In your Povidomlyaka account, open Channels.
Click the Not connected status next to the channel. A QR code appears.
On your phone, open the messenger. In Telegram: Settings → Devices → Connect device. In WhatsApp: Settings → Linked Devices → Link Device.
Scan the QR code in your account. If Telegram asks for a password, enter your two-step verification cloud password.
Wait until the status turns Online.
If the QR code does not appear or does not update, click Reset and repeat the steps.
Why a channel disconnects
The WhatsApp phone was offline for a long time. WhatsApp disconnects linked devices when the main phone is offline for a long time.
Someone ended the session. Someone logged out the Povidomlyaka device in the Telegram or WhatsApp device list.
The messenger restricted the account. A messenger treats a mass mailing from a personal number to many clients at the same time as spam. It can end the session or block the number.
How to avoid disconnections
Keep the phone with WhatsApp switched on and connected to the internet.
Do not log out the Povidomlyaka device in Telegram or WhatsApp settings.
For promotions, use Autosender (broadcasts) with the Medium interval instead of an Altegio mass mailing.
Connect a separate business number instead of your personal number. See What clients see: sender name and photo.
What happens to the cascade
While the channel is not connected, no messages are sent through it.
If the cascade has other channels, Povidomlyaka tries to send the message through the next channel, for example SMS. If there are no other channels, the client does not get the message.
The Channels page shows a hint that one of the channels is not connected and the sending order is broken.
After you reconnect, open History. You can resend messages with the Error status with the Retry button. See Check that notifications work.
